2025 Summary

— Left Wanting More

The year 2025 confirmed that rebuilding was no longer the topic. After the fresh start of 2024, this season was about consolidation, rhythm, and consistency. A committed year, marked by strong results, clear progress, and that turning point only long-distance racing can offer: learning through adversity.

Early in the season, The Traka, a European benchmark in gravel racing, was an important test. Despite a very late mechanical repair, I finished Top 10 in my age category, proving that determination can sometimes compensate for what equipment complicates.

On the BikingMan circuit, I put together a solid start to the season: Corsica, Alpes-Maritimes, Vercors. Three demanding races, three consistent performances that placed me 2nd in the overall standings. The plan was working, the preparation too, and the sensations confirmed a true upward trajectory.

Another chapter was FlatLandes. With Phil, we consolidated the creation of this event in the Landes region. The concept worked, the terrain spoke for itself, and feedback was clear: it’s a race with genuine potential.

Then came BikingMan X Morocco, the key event meant to play for the general classification. At kilometer 200, a tire exploded. No possible repair. Immediate abandonment.
A sharp, brutal moment that instantly ended any chance of fighting for the overall. The frustration was strong, but this is also what ultra-distance teaches: accepting the unexpected, even when it costs an entire season.

A full season, imperfect but honest. A year where solidity mattered as much as the numbers, and one that mostly sets the foundation for what comes next.

2024 Summary

— The New Beginning

2024 was marked by significant achievements, steady progression, and ambitious challenges in ultra-distance. After an intense recovery following Guillain-Barré syndrome in 2023, every race became a step toward reclaiming my potential, and a demonstration of resilience.

On the BikingMan circuit, I achieved 6th place at BikingMan Morocco, a race where strategy and endurance were key. Other standout events, like The Traka 200 in Spain, allowed me to measure myself against strong competitors, finishing 20th in my age group and 3rd French rider.
During the UCI Gravel World Series in Millau, I finished 8th in my age category, securing qualification for the UCI World Championships.

Stand Up Paddle

— 2012 / 2021: The Call of the Ocean

Between 2012 and 2021, I immersed myself in the world of surfing, particularly through Stand Up Paddle (SUP), a discipline where strength, balance, and a deep connection with the ocean are essential. Beyond the practice, I had the opportunity to stand out with three Landes Championship titles.

This passion also led me on numerous trips, including a year living in Indonesia, exploring and surfing new waves. I had the privilege of being supported in this adventure by renowned brands such as JP Australia and Gong Galaxy.

I was also selected for the Rip Curl Challenge La Nord, a big-wave competition on the iconic La Nord spot in Hossegor. This prestigious event, reserved for committed and experienced big-wave surfers, allowed me to face powerful multi-meter waves, an intense, unique experience that strengthened both my passion and my respect for the ocean.

Track, Road & MTB

— 1992 / 2003: A Complete Vision of Cycling

Between 1992 and 2003, my cycling journey evolved across multiple disciplines — MTB, road, and track — each shaping a broader, more complete vision of the sport.

After beginning in BMX, the VTT boom of the 90s naturally led me to mountain biking. While riders like Cédric Gracia and Franck Parolin were specializing in downhill, my terrain in the Landes pushed me toward Cross-Country. Later, I transitioned to road cycling, guided by my coach at the time — a UCI commissaire on the Tour de France.

On the track, I earned five Landes Championship titles, a 3rd place at the Aquitaine Championships in Olympic Pursuit, and a selection for the Aquitaine regional team.
On the road, my results include four Landes Championship titles, a 3rd place at the Aquitaine Championships, and multiple victories in National-category races, with distinctions such as best climber, best sprinter, and most combative rider in international U23 events (WE Béarnais).

In MTB, I raced for renowned structures such as Sunn, Co-factory Specialized, and the Team Look, winning five Aquitaine titles, three French Military Championships, and earning a Top 10 national ranking, while racing alongside riders like Julien Absalon, Cédric Ravanel, and Jean-Christophe Péraud.

BMX

— 1986 / 1991: The Genesis

From 1986 to 1991, BMX was the starting point of my sporting life and my passion for competition. With the Sunn team, I had the honor of representing France and achieving top results, including a 4th place at the World Championships and a European final. Nationally, I won the Aquitaine Championship, the Aquitaine Cup, and regularly ranked among the top five French riders.

BMX was the spark and the foundation of my entry into cycling, a passion born on dirt tracks, one that has never faded over the years.
